Established in 2008, the Bali Ophthalmology Retreat (BIOR) is an annual event for Ophthalmologists in Asia offering powerful Scientific and Interactive Workshop Sessions together with enlightening Skills Development Tutorials. The conference offers a valuable learning experience and networking forum in an exclusive and intimate environment of quality interaction and sharing with expert speakers, leading corporate sponsors and counterparts from the region and worldwide, plus providing participants an opportunity for a break to relax and unwind in magical Bali.
Rather than lectures and symposiums, BIOR’s emphasis is instructive interactive workshops by world experts, where participants have ample opportunity to interact and ask questions in a relaxed setting. This is what differentiates BIOR from other large and formal meetings where the opportunity to interact with speakers and other delegates is limited.
Since its inception, BIOR has successfully established itself for quality, excellence, and professionalism, and has attracted an outstanding line up of distinguished international expert speakers and leading corporate sponsors. Feedback from delegates has been extremely positive reflected by the high ratings and favorable write in comments received via Feedback Forms completed by participating Ophthalmologists. Very high ratings for BIOR 2010 were achieved with 100% of respondents indicating we met or exceeded their expectations in the relevance of the sessions and 99% for the quality of speakers. Similar excellent ratings were also achieved for BIOR 2008 and 2009.
The Bali Ophthalmology Retreat offers a unique annual experience for Ophthalmologists to revitalize and refresh the mind and body - an opportunity for superior learning, idea sharing, networking and relationship-building in an exclusive environment of tranquility and Balinese Culture. Participants will also have the opportunity for a well deserved break to enjoy unique cultural, recreational and leisure activities, and quality relaxation in magical Bali.
